MID-HUDSON CHINESE LANGUAGE CENTER BRINGS CHINESE CULTURAL FESTIVAL TO POUGHKEEPSIE GALLERIA
— A chance to celebrate with Chinese activities, performances, foods, and more! —
Poughkeepsie, NY – Hosted by MHCLC, Mid-Hudson Chinese Language Center, and TCML, Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning, the Chinese Cultural Festival will take place at the Poughkeepsie Galleria on Saturday, August 26th from 3pm-6pm in center court. This event is proudly sponsored by O.C.A.C Taiwan (R.O.C).
The Chinese Cultural Festival will be very similar to a previous celebration of the Chinese New Year, back in February 2022, which intrigued an audience of over 400. Families and local community partners will get together to enjoy Chinese folk dance, Chinese yoyo, and lion dance performances. Furthermore, activities such as Chinese knotting, paper cutting, origami, calligraphy, and ethnic food tasting will be available for attendees to explore.
“Cross-cultural understanding significantly strengthens community relationships, which is so important in today’s ever-changing world”, says Fenlan Lin, Principal of the Mid-Hudson Chinese Language Center. “Being that we are dedicated to promoting cultural diversity, this is a great opportunity for families to learn more about their peers and celebrate various ways of life”.
