ABILITIES FIRST: SHOWCASE OF RESOURCES FOR ENRICHMENT & INCLUSION RETURNS TO POUGHKEEPSIE GALLERIA
Poughkeepsie, NY – For the third year, Abilities First, Inc. is hosting the Abilities First: Showcase of Resources for Enrichment & Inclusion at Poughkeepsie Galleria. This free event provides support to individuals with disabilities and will be held on Saturday, March 9 from 10am to 3pm throughout the lower level of Poughkeepsie Galleria.
The Showcase of Resources for Enrichment & Inclusion brings together resources and unique services or products that meet the everyday needs and interests of families, individuals or caregivers for those with any disability whether it be developmental, intellectual, physical, mental or others as well. For those in need of a sensory-sensitive environment, an early opening from 9:30am to 10:00am is available before the mall officially opens at 10:00am.
Enjoy a movie theater experience with lower sound and brighter lights courtesy of Regal’s My Way Matinee Program. Starting at 10:00am, both How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and Captain Marvel are available for viewing at Regal located on the lower level of Poughkeepsie Galleria.
Other activities include performances, demonstrations, meet-and-greets and other special events including the 3rd Annual Showcase Flash Mob featuring students and faculty from the Abilities First schools at 12:30pm. Hudson Valley Parent Magazine will be photographing kids for upcoming covers of their magazine as part of the MY ABILITIES ARE SUPER 2019 COVER KID SEARCH.
